Arctic Research Stations Profiled

Canadian arctic research stations are old, run-down, but heavily used – and are thus thrilled at the prospect of improvements from the government’s $11-million Arctic Research Infrastructure Fund – according to a story by the Canadian Press. While the money is more than welcome, a commission of researchers and administrators, the Canadian Polar Commission, is now attempting to find money to continue operating the soon-to-be-like-new centres, since operating funds were cut in the most recent federal budget…
