KIF announces funding for Nova Scotia and Alberta

Nova Scotia:The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, on behalf of the Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, along with the Honourable Judy Streatch, Nova Scotia’s Minister of Education and Minister of Communications Nova Scotia, today announced:

$113.9 million (federal + provincial) to fund 25 projects at post-secondary institutions including the Atlantic School of Theology and  Nova Scotia Community College at Pictou.

Alberta:The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Canada’s Minister of State (Science and Technology), along with the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Canada’s Minister of Labour, and the Honourable Doug Horner, Alberta Minister of Advanced Education and Technology, today announced:

$348 million (federal + provincial) in 28 projects at post-secondary institutions, $127.6 million of which go to 3 projects at the University of Alberta. The money  is expected to create around 2,500 construction jobs in Alberta.

UBC got half of that ($64.2 million)
