Science Day in Canada
May 25, 2009
Wednesday, the Public Policy Forum will be hosting a one-day symposium, “bringing together a cross-section of leaders from the research and policy-making communities in governments, industry universities and colleges”. Participants are planning to discuss:
- The state of science in Canada; and
- The role of science in contributing to Canada’s economic recovery and global economic competitiveness
Preston Manning will be delivering a keynote address: “Stimulating an Ailing Economy: The Crucial Role of Science, Technology and Innovation”.
Unfortunately, the event is invitiation only, and it is unclear who has been invited (note: I haven’t been…). For those who are interested in participating in a public discussion of science policy, I point you to the Canadian Science Policy Conference being organized in Toronto in October.

Hey, I went to that!
Does anyone know when the next research day is coming up? I just happened to find this page by trying to Google the next meeting.
